COVE FORT, Millard County — A 60-year-old man was killed in a rollover crash in Millard County on Wednesday.

About 5:30 p.m., emergency dispatchers received several calls from motorists about a 2008 Toyota Prius heading south on I-15 that was driving recklessly, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Near Cove Fort, the driver of the Prius "went off the right side of the road and the car rolled along the shoulder. The driver was ejected through the windshield and landed about 20 feet ahead of the car," the UHP said.

Other motorists attempted to help the man by administering CPR. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. The man's name had not been released as of Thursday morning.

Troopers say alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
