WEST JORDAN — A man was critically injured Friday night when he was hit by a car in West Jordan.

West Jordan police said a man ran across the street at 7800 South near 3420 West. A vehicle hit him and he was transported to the hospital.

Police initially said he was in moderate condition but at about 8:50 p.m., his medical status was changed to critical and he is receiving life-saving measures at the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said the driver was cooperative and there is no suspicion of DUI.
