SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man in a crosswalk was hit and critically injured in South Salt Lake Tuesday night.

A man was in a crosswalk at 3450 S. 900 West when he was hit by a car, according to South Salt Lake police. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver remained on scene and no impairment is suspected, South Salt Lake police spokeswoman Danielle Croyle said. Crash reconstruction teams are investigating the incident to determine what happened.
