SALT LAKE CITY — A woman is dead after a head-on collision on an I-80 off-ramp in Salt Lake City early Sunday.

About 4:15 a.m., a Mazda sedan entered the wrong way on the 600 South off-ramp from I-80 and collided with an SUV, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol. The woman who was driving the Mazda died in the crash.

The woman may not have been properly wearing a seat belt, according to UHP. The driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The I-80 eastbound to I-15 southbound ramp was shut down for approximately four hours following the crash, troopers said.
