TAYLORSVILLE — A man was critically injured after the car he was driving struck a tree in Taylorsville on Friday morning.

Taylorsville police say the man was driving north at 4430 S. Atherton Drive about 6:45 a.m. when he struck a tree. The man was still in the vehicle when medical personnel arrived, and he was transported to the hospital in critical condition, according to Sgt. Jacob Palmer.

No other injuries were reported, and police are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
