CEDAR CITY — Off a 37-point performance Sunday against No. 1 South Carolina, Alissa Pili followed it up with an encore performance on the road.

The reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year quickly put up 12 points in the first six minutes of the game for Utah to take a 14-11 lead over Southern Utah Saturday night, and Utah used a 19-0 run to closeout the opening quarter to give the Utes an early 15-point lead.

And the scoring didn't stop there for the 11th-ranked Utes.

Utah built up a 30-point lead in the third quarter on 56% shooting for the game, and the Utes rolled to a 96-60 victory over Southern Utah.

The Utes (9-2) finished with 16 made 3-pointers (47%) and had 25 assists on 34-made field goals in the win.

Pili finished with 20 points, including four made 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and one block in only 20 minutes of action. Four other Utah players finished the night in double figures, including a 15-point night from Dasia Young.

Kennady McQueen finished with 12 points, and Maty Wilke and Lani White each finished with 11 points apiece in the win.

Southern Utah (3-6) took an early lead against a porous Utah defense, but the Utes locked in on defense and held the Thunderbirds scoreless for a six-minute stretch as Utah went on its run.

The Thunderbirds were led in scoring by Megan Smith, who had a game-high 26 points and five rebounds, and got 15 points out of Ava Uhrich as the only other player in double figures.
