SALT LAKE CITY — High school football ends this week, and basketball is ready to take over the state.

This season, KSL.com is partnering with Clean Simple Eats to highlight two high school hoops players of the week — one girl and one boy.

Each week, we'll be looking for players across the state who excel on and off the hardwood for an opportunity to spotlight their accomplishments and reward their efforts.

The chosen athletes will receive protein products and hydration sticks from Clean Simple Eats, as well as swag from KSL.com to recognize their success this season.

If you'd like to nominate a basketball player for their impact on or off the court, email our sports team at onlinesports@ksl.com.

These successes can include statistical achievements and dominance on the court, but should also factor in community impact, personal character and overall noteworthy endeavors.

We look forward to an exciting basketball season and the new memories and milestones it will bring to the teams and players striving for a championship.
