MORGAN — One person died in a skid-steer loader crash on a family farm south of Morgan Thursday night, police said.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at 1000 South and state Route 66. A person was driving a skid-steer loader near a pond on a family farm and the vehicle slid into the pond.

The driver died in the crash, the sheriff's office said.

The person's name was not immediately released as family members were still being notified.

Deputies were investigating what caused the skid-steer loader to slide into the pond.
