COALVILLE — Deputies seized 31 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Saturday, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
During the traffic stop, which took place in a northern area of the county, deputies observed indicators of possible criminal activity and requested the help of a K-9 unit.
The K-9 indicated the presence of illegal drugs, and deputies reported finding around 31 pounds of meth after searching the vehicle.
"This type of criminal conduct will not be tolerated in Summit County," the sheriff's ofice said. "We appreciate the professionalism and dedication of our SCSO deputies. Not to mention our fantastic K-9 partners."
