SALT LAKE CITY — Going into Week 3 of college football, here are some interesting matchups to flip the channel to in your weekend plan.

No. 11 Tennessee at Florida

Saturday, Sept. 16, 5 p.m. MDT (ESPN)

Tennessee will be facing Florida in the Swamp this weekend. Despite being favored, Tennessee is only a 6-point favorite due to the notoriously difficult atmosphere that Gainesville can bring to visitors. Florida started the season with a loss to Utah but bounced back in Week 2 with a 49-7 win over McNeese and could ruin College Football Playoff hopes for the Volunteers this weekend.

Minnesota at No. 20 North Carolina

Saturday, Sept. 16, 1:30 p.m. MDT (ESPN)

Minnesota and North Carolina enter Week 3 with two wins under their belts. Tar Heels quarterback Drake Maye has gotten off to a slower start than expected under new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey. Maye will have his work cut out for him as the Gophers have a top-rated defense and will not make this game an easy one for the Tar Heels.

TCU at Houston

Saturday, Sept. 16, 6 p.m. MDT (FOX)

Week 3 is a big week for Houston as it marks the first conference game for the Cougars in the Big 12. Following a heartbreaking loss to Rice in double overtime, Houston has a lot riding on this game. TCU also has a lot to prove after a season opening loss to Colorado.

No. 8 Washington at Michigan State

Saturday, Sept. 16, 3 p.m. MDT (Peacock)

Both teams have managed to post high-scoring games over the past two weeks, which makes this matchup a strong potential for an interesting game. This will be the first game Michigan State will play without head coach Mel Tucker after his suspension. Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. continues to look like a Heisman candidate as the season progresses.

South Carolina at No. 1 Georgia

Saturday, Sept. 16, 1:30 p.m. MDT (CBS)

You can never go wrong with adding the current No. 1 team to your watchlist for the week. Georgia fans will get to see quarterback Carson Beck as a full-time starter this week in their first SEC game. South Carolina has the opportunity to upset the top team in the country, but hopes of that are quite slim due to their mediocre performance so far this season.
