HELPER, Carbon County — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash while traveling with others in Indian Canyon in Carbon County on Sunday as a West Valley man.
Eric N. Graham, 40, died in a crash while traveling with others in Indian Canyon in Carbon County on Sunday, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
A group of motorcyclists was southbound on state Route 191 at about 11:45 a.m. Sunday when the fatal accident happened, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Chris Bishop said.
One of the motorcyclists was riding a Yamaha R6 motorcycle. He lost control and crashed into an embankment, according to a police statement. Graham suffered fatal injuries in the crash, according to Bishop.
Troopers released Graham's identity on Thursday. Investigators said they were looking at speed as being a contributing factor in the crash.
