FARR WEST, Weber County — Troopers have identified two of the three people killed in a crash early Wednesday that closed northbound I-15 in Farr West, Weber County, for several hours.

Tira Hanchor, 70, and Ekar Hanchor, 64, both from Enid, Oklahoma, were killed in the crash. A 17-year-old girl from the Marshall Islands was also killed, but her name was not released.

State troopers said a passenger car had stopped in the right lane with no lights on after it hit a deer early Wednesday. A semitruck then crashed into the back of the car. Utah Highway Patrol reported the car had been in the left lane.

The three people who were killed were all sitting in the back seat of the car, and another two were injured. The driver of the semitruck was not seriously injured.

All traffic was diverted off northbound I-15 at 2700 West. The Utah Department of Transportation reported major delays in the area for several hours.
