Salt Lake City police officers responded to a call at 2:41 a.m. about a stabbing at 32 E. Exchange Place.

When they arrived, they found a large crowd leaving the area and a person on the ground suffering from a critical injury, according to a statement by the Salt Lake City Police Department.

After receiving emergency medical treatment, the victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
