PROVO — Police have identified a 21-year-old woman they believe was killed in a hit and run in Provo Thursday evening, and are asking for the public's help in identifying the driver.

In an update on Friday, investigators said they believe Isabelle Parr, 21, was hit by a vehicle while she was jogging between 5:20 p.m. and 5:25 p.m. The driver fled the scene without stopping or calling for help, according to Provo police spokesman Shad LeFevre.

A person discovered the body near 850 W. 800 North in Provo and called police just before 5:30 p.m. Officers confirmed the woman was dead when they arrived at the scene.

LeFevre said investigators consider the circumstances of the woman's death to be suspicious, and have asked for help identifying the vehicle or driver who fled the scene. If you witnessed or have knowledge of the collision, you are asked to contact detective Smith at 801-852-6385 or csmith@provo.org.
