WEST BOUNTIFUL — A stand-off in West Bountiful ended after a man surrendered to police Tuesday evening.
Residents in West Bountiful were asked to shelter in place Tuesday afternoon after what police describe as a "domestic violence incident."
Around 1:42 p.m. West Bountiful police responded to an incident around 200 North and 800 West. Police said it was not considered an active shooter situation, but they asked nearby residents to shelter in place.
A SWAT team responded to the scene, as well as officers from Bountiful, Centerville and Woods Cross.
West Bountiful Assistant Police Chief Lance Wilkinson said officers evacuated the residence, and the suspect was the only one remaining inside.
Police haven't provided details, but confirmed that the man surrendered and the stand-off had ended as of 8:26 p.m.
West Bountiful police said 800 West would remain closed from 400 North to 500 South until the incident is resolved.
