SOUTH SALT LAKE — Local police departments and the FBI is asking for help identifying a man who robbed a bank, a credit union and a person in the Salt Lake area in August and September.
The FBI describes the robber as a male with a thin build, between 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet tall. He is considered armed and dangerous, and investigators say a weapon was displayed, threatened and/or used as a blunt force object during the robberies.
On Aug. 30, the man robbed the America First Credit Union at 3499 S. State in South Salt Lake, according to the South Salt Lake Police Department. Police say he handed the teller a note and left on foot.
The same man is suspected of robbing a credit union customer in Clearfield on Sept. 9. Clearfield police say he followed a customer out of the credit union, pistol-whipped him and robbed him of money he had just withdrawn.
On Sept. 27, the man robbed the Chase Bank at 1285 E. 3900 South in Millcreek, according to the FBI. Investigators say he handed the teller a note, pointed a handgun at the teller then left on foot.
