RANDOLPH, Rich County — A 21-year-old man is dead after rolling his car on state Route 16 in Rich County on Sunday.

The incident happened just before 5:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon when police say the man was northbound on S.R. 16 and attempted to pass another vehicle on the two-lane highway.

The 21-year-old driver avoided a head-on collision with a southbound vehicle, police said, but he then rolled his vehicle, was ejected and died on the scene, police said.

The name of the man has not been released at this time.
