SALT LAKE CITY — A man was seriously injured after being shot Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City, police said.

Officers received a report of a shooting around 1:27 p.m. at 824 W. North Temple and found a 54-year-old man with gunshot wounds when they arrived to the scene, according to Salt Lake police.

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but police said his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

Police did not have a description of a suspect, but they believe the shooting resulted from an argument.

An investigation is ongoing.
