ON THE CLOCK — The San Francisco 49ers' selection of Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy with the 262nd pick of the 2022 NFL draft wasn't the end of the line for newcomers looking to get a shot in the league.

After three days of drafting, a number of other players are getting called up for a shot at the NFL, too.

Three players from Utah schools were selected during the three-day draft, including Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd to Jacksonville in the first round, BYU running back Tyler Allgeier to Atlanta in the fifth round, and Southern Utah tackle Braxton Jones to Chicago in the fifth round.
