SALT LAKE CITY — Todd Sylvester, a former star basketball player at Brighton High, had trouble with addiction through the last couple years of high school. But that addiction had his life spiraling out of control and eventually contemplated ending his life.

"I'm doing nothing, I'm failing out of college, and there was just this voice: 'You're pathetic,'" Sylvester said. "Who practices two hours each day to lose your scholarship like that. That's when I got to that point that it was so bad that I decided I was going to end my life."

But an answer to prayer and a drink of a different kind saved his life. Sylvester is now paying it forward in a remarkable way. View the video above to hear his story and what he's done to help others.
