PROVO — After this year's infamous Oscar's ceremony, many criticized a performance of "We Don't Talk About Bruno" with the original cast members of "Encanto," due to the fact that guest performers stole the spotlight from the movie's stars — and changed the beloved lyrics.

But BYU Vocal Point may have helped to rectify that when they teamed up with "Encanto" star Adassa and Utah's One Voice Children's Choir for a colorful cover of the hit song released on Friday.

Not typically an a capella fan myself (I know, that's practically sacrilege in Utah), even I must admit it's a bop.

Check out this video. I guarantee it will cheer you up, or, at the very least, chip away at those Monday blues.

The music video begins with Adassa, who voices Delores in the film, wearing her character's traditional Colombian red-and-white ensemble. She opens the song with Vocal Point providing backup, and then dances with a member of the group against a yellow background to represent a sunny wedding day.

But then Bruno walks in with a "mischievous grin," and the scene switches to blue as the singers bring out their umbrellas. A soloist with One Voice Children's Choir adorably takes over as narrator.

The video continues with scene changes and color-coordinated wardrobes to match with the mood of each verse. The video captures the spirit of "Encanto," but adds a Utah twist, as the choir, Vocal Point and Adassa appear to be having a dance party by the end of the video.

In a comment on YouTube, Adassa says she had a "blast" performing the song with the groups.
