Police search for driver who fled crash that left pedestrian with 'significant' injuries

SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police on Friday were searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian hospitalized in critical condition in South Salt Lake.

The crash occurred at 3300 South and 300 West about 9 p.m. Thursday. The man who was hit by the truck was taken to Intermountain Medical Center with "significant injuries," South Salt Lake police said in a statement.

Police are searching for a silver/white GMC/Chevy extended crew cab truck with some driver's side mirror damage.
