SALT LAKE CITY — A woman died after being hit by a car in Salt Lake City Wednesday night, police said.
Officers responded to the area of 1000 North and 900 West about 11:10 p.m. and found a woman in her 20s who medical personnel say died at the scene, according to Salt Lake Police Lt. Victor Valencia.
The woman's boyfriend told police the couple, who lives nearby, had argued over a TV show. The woman left the house, then the boyfriend heard a loud crash. He went outside and saw his girlfriend lying on the ground and a white car quickly driving away.
The car's driver returned to the scene a short time later and is cooperating with police, Valencia said.
The name of the woman who died hasn't been released yet.
Police are reconstructing the incident and hoping to review any video from nearby homes.
