SALT LAKE CITY — Two males were transported to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries after a drive-by shooting in Salt Lake City on Saturday, police said.
The shooting occurred near 590 North and 1100 West at around 5:30 p.m., according to a Salt Lake City Police Department tweet. Police believe the two males were on the sidewalk at the time.
Police have limited information on the situation, and an investigation is ongoing. The car involved in the shooting was possibly a Nissan, Salt Lake Police Lt. Gordon Worsencroft said. The police department's tweet identified the males as juveniles, but Worsencroft said they had not confirmed the ages of the individuals.
No other people were injured in the incident, Worsencroft said.
"There were reports of possibly a house being struck, but we don't believe that house is necessarily a target," Worsencroft said.
