MAGNA — Two people were killed and another was injured in a shooting at a house party in Magna early Sunday, police say.

Two men — Juan Valentine Rodriguez, 19, and Ivan Valenzuela, 18 — died in the incident, which took place near 3623 S. Evening Light Cove in Magna, according to Unified police Det. Ken Hansen. A girl who is under age 18 was also shot, but is in fair condition as of 10 a.m. Sunday, he said.

Police arrived at the address about 1:10 a.m. Sunday and found a large house party with lots of people, Hansen said.

Several detectives are working the case, but most of the people at the party had been drinking, so police weren't able to gain much clarity on the situation, Hansen said. The motivation for the shooting isn't clear, and police don't know what led up to the incident.

Police also don't have any information on any suspects in the shooting, Hansen added.
