SALT LAKE CITY — Many East Coast and West Coast transplants in Utah are getting their wish this summer: the state's first Panera Bread location. The restaurant will be inside the Salt Lake City International Airport and will open in August.
Kind Hospitality is the company behind many airport restaurants from brands like Panera Bread and Copper Plate, an American Grill and others. They specialize in fast-casual food so customers can get fine dining quickly before or after or between flights.
"I love Panera so much," said Herriman resident Lauren Lees Baker. "Panera is on another level. Broccoli cheddar soup can't be beat."
Kind Hospitality is planning to hire more than 60 associates and bakers for the newest Panera Bread location.
The company will be holding two upcoming job fairs to recruit new members at the Salt Lake City Department of Workforce Services on Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and at the Taylorsville Department of Workforce Services between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
