Update:
The man was identified on Monday as Jak Yiek Mun, 34, of Murray.
MURRAY — Police were looking for suspects Friday after a shooting and crash left a man dead.
Officers responded after 5:30 p.m. to an area near Main Street and Fireclay Avenue on a report of shots fired and found the wrecked vehicle.
According to officer Taylor Blauer with the Murray Police Department, the chain of events apparently began with some sort of altercation between the driver and one to two people who were on foot.
At some point, one of the people outside the vehicle fired several shots into the car.
"The vehicle then left the parking lot," Blauer said. "The driver tried to get away, he went northbound, got into an accident. Officers arrived with paramedics. The individual was transported by paramedics to the hospital. He has since been pronounced deceased."
Blauer said detectives were sorting out with witnesses who was responsible and how many people in total were involved.
