OGDEN — Ben Lomond High School will transition to online learning for two weeks due to the number of COVID-19 cases, officials said Monday.

Ogden School District spokesperson Jer Bates confirmed that Ben Lomond High, 1080 9th Street, is making a transition to online learning, a first for the district. Bates said the transition is due to the 15 cases they've had over a 14-day rolling count.

Although it is a first for the district, Bates said that the Ogden School District has prepared for this since the beginning of the school year and has created an online curriculum that students will be transitioning to.

Teachers will work remotely on Tuesday to add any final touches to their online materials and the school will be cleaned, said Bates.

The online material will be delivered to students on Wednesday, according to the district.
