Provo police looking for Subaru in connection to MTC shooting

PROVO — Police are looking for a light-colored Subaru Outback in connection to a shooting at the Provo Missionary Training Center on Monday.

Provo police released photos of the car on Tuesday afternoon, asking the public to help identify anyone associated with the vehicle.

Investigators said the car was involved when shots were fired at 2:28 a.m. Monday near an MTC security booth on 2005 N. 900 East.

No one was injured in the incident as police said the individual in the booth was able to escape the shooting.

Police also asked residents in the 900 East area south of the MTC near South State Street to share any video footage taken Monday between 2:15 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. with the department.

Anyone with footage near the area is asked to send it to Provo detective Cambell at rcambell@provo.org.
