SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A trial date has been set for a Bountiful man accused of shooting his ex-wife to death and wounding her father.

David Drommond has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of capital murder, attempted aggravated murder and violation of a protective order.

Janiel Drommond was killed last August and Neil Reed Bradley was injured as the woman dropped her two young children off at Drommond's house for a court-ordered visitation.

A trial is scheduled for January 3rd in Farmington's 2nd District Court.
