SOUTH SALT LAKE — Five people were critically injured in a crash with a TRAX train Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 210 W. 3300 South when the SUV hit the side of the train, South Salt Lake firefighters said.
All eight people who were inside the SUV were taken to a hospital. Five were listed in critical condition.
The northbound train was expected to remain derailed for several hours.
