OGDEN — A 16-year-old male died Saturday morning after he was shot by a 17-year-old male, police say.
The shooting took place on the 300 block of 9th Street about 5:20 a.m., according to a news release from Ogden Police Lt. Will Farr.
After police arrived at the scene and discovered the 16-year-old shot, medical personnel responded and attempted life-saving measures. The victim died at the scene.
Detectives responded and, following an investigation, the 17-year-old was taken into custody. He was booked into the Weber Valley Detention Center on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
