SALT LAKE CITY — Two children suffered accidental gunshot wounds to the head in Utah on Thursday in unrelated incidents.
A 9-year-old Brigham City boy was hospitalized a little after 5 p.m. after accidentally shooting himself in the head, police confirmed.
The boy was first transported to a local hospital before being transferred to Salt Lake City's Primary Children’s Hospital in stable condition.

Earlier Thursday, a 3-year-old accidentally shot himself in the head as well.
That incident took place about 6:30 a.m. in Murray and left the boy with no life-threatening injuries.
Both shootings are under investigation.
