FARMINGTON — A head-on collision on southbound Legacy Parkway in Davis County has killed two people, Utah Highway Patrol officials said Saturday.

Three more people were injured in the crash. UHP Sgt. Lawrence Hopper said a white sedan was traveling the wrong way when the crash occurred about 11:30 a.m.

The white vehicle collided head-on with a silver sedan traveling south.

The driver and passenger of the white sedan were transported to the hospital, Hopper said. The driver of the silver sedan was flown from the scene by medical helicopter in extremely critical condition.

A male back-seat passenger in the white vehicle and a female passenger in the silver vehicle died at the scene.

They were identified Monday as Gissell Enciso, 19, and Destry R. Hone, 38, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol on Monday. Enciso was from West Valley City and Hone was from Spanish Fork.

Enciso was a passenger in the silver sedan, a Nissan Sentra. Hone was a back-seat passenger in the white sedan, a Toyota Camry.

It is still not clear why the Camry was traveling in the wrong direction. UHP on Monday did not release any other details about the crash.
