WEST BOUNTIFUL — An accident caused by debris on the road resulted in injuries and significant slow-downs on I-15 on Saturday afternoon.
Troopers responded to a call at 12:37 p.m. that a vehicle had hit a box spring which had fallen from another vehicle, according to Utah Highway Patrol trooper Tara Wahlberg. The driver, who was a woman, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The accident, which occurred on Southbound I-15 near 500 South in West Bountiful, caused slowdowns on the roadway, according to UHP. Utah Department of Transportation's website showed all lanes were clear as of 7:15 p.m.
