SANDY — Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people late Tuesday night near 11190 S. Hawkwood Drive.

Sandy police told KSL they received a call from a neighbor reporting the shooting. When officers arrived, they found two people had been shot. They were transported to a hospital, but their condition was unknown.

Officers were going from yard to yard in search of a possible gunman, police said.

Police don't know if this was a random or targeted shooting. Further information was not immediately given.
