ROY — Police are looking for a man in connection with an aggravated robbery at a Maverik in Roy on Tuesday, according to the Roy police.
Master Officer Stuart Hackworth with the Roy City Police Department told KSL.com that the person who committed the robbery first set off an alarm at a carwash nearby then drove to the Roy Maverik at 2815 W. 4000 South.
The man entered the store and robbed the cashier at gunpoint around 12:30 a.m., returned to his vehicle and fled the scene.
The identity of the man is unknown, but police were able to get photos of the vehicle he left in. They believe the individual might be driving a white Mitsubishi Gallant with a sticker on the rear passenger side of the car.
“Any help from witnesses or anyone identifying the vehicle would be greatly appreciated,” Hackworth said.
Members of the public with any information on this case are urged to contact police at 801-774-1072.
