UPDATE: The investigation into the shooting began with two calls to 911 around 7 p.m. Sunday, according to Salt Lake police. The first call reported a domestic incident in progress, the second reported shots fired, according to Salt Lake Police detective Robert Ungricht. Salt Lake police took over the investigation because an individual involved in the case is related to a Unified Police Department employee, Ungricht said.
