SPANISH FORK — Family members are asking the public for help in their search for 39-year-old Steven Reed Terry.

Terry went missing from his home near Spanish Fork on April 26, the Utah County Sheriff's Office said in a prepared statement. His wife told investigators she had received a recent text message from him that led her to believe he might harm himself.

The search largely had stalled as of Wednesday. Terry's phone could not be located because it either was turned off or its battery had run out, police said. No charges to his bank or credit cards have been made since he went missing.

Deputies and family members have searched areas where Terry has been known to go but did not find him.

A search party is set to gather at 2 p.m. Thursday at Spanish Oaks Reservoir. The group plans to look for Terry on foot and with drones.

Deputies are asking anyone who has seen Terry or has information about his whereabouts to call the Utah County Sheriff's Office at 801-851-4023.
