TOOELE, Utah (AP) -- A man was injured after he crashed his vehicle while taking part in speed week at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Authorities say the man lost control of his vehicle yesterday. The driver was apparently doing more than 240 miles-per-hour when he crashed.
Tooele County Sheriff' dispatchers say the vehicle rolled several times and was crushed.
Emergency crews had to extricate the driver from the vehicle. The man was airlifted to the hospital. So far, his name has not been released. ------------------------ Information from: Deseret Morning News
