THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENED — If you haven't been living under a rock for the past 18 months, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with the musical “Hamilton.”
Based on the life and legacy of influential immigrant Alexander Hamilton, Lin Manuel-Miranda’s hip-hop adaptation won 11 Tonys and its soundtrack has been on repeat across the country. Utah’s own Lieutenant Governor, Spencer Cox, even tried his hand at a “Hamilton”/Eminem mashup.
Just in time for the holidays, Utah-based a cappella group Eclipse 6 has released their ode to Christmas and the 10-dollar founding father.

In “Hamildolph,” — a video shot by Ogden-based production company Circa3 — be prepared for familiar rhymes and rhythms, but with a bit of a yuletide twist.
“We are such Hamilton super-fans, we could not not do this,” the band wrote on their website.
Eclipse 6 has been together for 15 years, according to their website, when they all met at Utah State University. The group began performing around Cache Valley before eventually singing at the opening ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympics. “Hamildolph” is their most recent release.
