SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Latest on vice presidential candidate Mike Pence's visit to Utah (all times local):

Mike Pence is trying to sell Donald Trump to Utah Republicans who are suspicious that the GOP presidential candidate may not share their conservative views.
Pence, who is popular with Utah's Republican officials, told a group of business leaders and politicians in Salt Lake City on Thursday that he's proud to stand with Trump and called him a "broad-shouldered" leader.
Pence says he and Trump agree on many issues, including a belief in education policies that allow families to enroll their children in schools other than the ones assigned to them by the public system.
Pence was speaking at an event hosted by Utah Sen. Mike Lee, who said Thursday that he's not ready to endorse Trump.
The vice presidential candidate is scheduled to attend a $10,000-a-head fundraiser in Utah later in the day.

Utah Sen. Mike Lee says he's still not ready to say if he'll vote for Donald Trump.
The Republican senator told reporters on Thursday that he's had several talks with Trump's running mate Mike Pence about the billionaire candidate, but he wants to know more about Trump's position on the balance of power between states and the U.S. government.
Trump has offered some clues, saying he prefers to keep public lands under federal control rather than handing more land over to the states, as Lee and other Republicans would like to see.
Lee says he won't vote for Clinton but is open to voting for a third party candidate.
He says he's a big fan of Pence and expects to talk with him about Trump again Thursday while the Indiana governor attends the senator's Salt Lake City policy summit.

Mike Pence is making his first visit to Utah on Thursday since becoming Donald Trump's running mate.
He's attending a Trump fundraiser and speaking at a Salt Lake City policy summit hosted by U.S. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah.
Pence is a conservative Indiana governor and former congressman who is expected to use his Utah visit to help bolster support for the party's nominee.
He's popular with many in Utah's GOP who have so far been reluctant to back their party's brash billionaire presidential candidate.
That includes Lee, who has so far refused to endorse Trump. His office says he has no plans to do so.
