On Monday, we began with the four play-in matchups, and only one came down to the wire: Hyrum narrowly beat Tremonton, 7,445 votes to 7,384 votes. The other winners: Highland (72 percent) beat North Salt Lake (28 percent), Cedar Hills (62 percent) beat Woods Cross (38 percent) and Park City (80 percent) beat Bluffdale (20 percent). Official results can be viewed below in the photo gallery.
As a reminder, the seeding in the bracket is based on population size. Voting for each round will go throughout the day and will be officially stopped at midnight (voting can still come in after midnight, but will not be counted in the official result).
A total of 64 teams will compete in this first round, followed by the Round of 32 on Friday (March 18). The Sweet 16 and Elite 8 will be the following Wednesday (March 23) and Friday (March 25), with the Final Four and Championship round after that (April 1 and April 4).
Remember, this is completely subjective and fun. We think all cities in Utah are great. How you come to decide upon the best city is entirely up to you. You be the judge. If you want others to vote, share the poll and help your selected city or cities win.
Enjoy and remember to look for the second-round voting on Friday.
