SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Hundreds of Utah residents were still without power after a night of heavy storms.
A spokesman for Rocky Mountain Power says about 800 customers were still without electricity as of Monday morning. Sunday night, the total was about 7,000 after strong winds knocked down trees, branches and power lines.
Spokesman Dave Eskelsen says about 4,000 customers were in the Salt Lake Valley and another 3,000 were in the Ogden area, where a substation went out.
Eskelsen says Rocky Mountain hoped to get everybody powered up again sometime Monday.
