(KSL News) Former FLDS member Carolyn Jessop joined prosecutors and lawmakers today who testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
"It took me a year before I could think of myself as a person, not an object," Jessop said.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called polygamist sects "sophisticated" and "vast criminal organizations." He claims polygamous sects have gone largely unchecked by law enforcement.
