LAYTON — A woman wanted in connection with an apparent love triangle stabbing Sunday turned herself over to police early Monday.
Traci Sanchez, 40, surrendered to authorities about 5 a.m. and was taken in for questioning. She is accused of stabbing another woman twice in the abdomen.
On Sunday, a 37-year-old woman arrived with a friend at the Stonehedge Apartments, 221 N. Fairfield Road, to confront Sanchez "over a romantic interest they both shared," said Layton Police Lt. Travis Lyman.
Traci Sanchez will be booked into Davis County Jail on one count of attempted murder.

The argument turned into a fight that led to the stabbing, Lyman said. The victim and her friend ran to their car after being stabbed. The friend drove her to Davis Hospital and Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries. She was later released, police said.
Detectives were still questioning Sanchez on Monday and had not officially arrested her.
