Local family honors father's legacy by having casket painted as race car
One of Utah's car racing stars passed away this week.
Loved ones of Odis Price said his passion for driving anything with four wheels knew no bounds. Now, with help from a local custom paint shop, Odis Price is getting one last ride.
"We're sisters, and that's our father, Odis Price. His legacy was, as a race car driver, was driving (the number) 45 (race car)," said Annette Price Coester alongside her sister Holly Price.
Teen ejected during vehicle accident seeks to find, thank first responders
A 17-year-old Bountiful teen who survived a terrible car accident in 2014 wants to find and thank the people who stopped to help.
The accident occurred May 22, 2014 on northbound I-15 near 9700 South, according to a Utah Highway Patrol traffic accident report. Bountiful resident Logan Cook and four of his friends were attending a baseball game in Orem and began driving back home to Bountiful around 5 p.m. Cook said he was tired so he laid down to sleep in the cargo area of his friend's Jeep during the drive home. He said his friend who was driving also fell asleep and drifted into the median.
S.L. man dedicated to keeping accordion music alive
At one time or another, many of us had dreams of being a rock star, and that likely involved playing the guitar.
But when it comes to instruments kids dream of playing, the accordion is probably near the bottom of the list. Which is why some might be surprised to hear that right here in Salt Lake, there's an entire store dedicated to the instrument and a man dedicated to keeping its music alive.
Police: Quibble over semi truck parking spot results in stabbing
An argument over a gas station parking spot led to a stabbing that put one man in the hospital, according to police.
About 11:20 p.m. Saturday, two truck drivers got into an argument in the parking lot of a Flying J in Lake Point.

Earlier this week, at a table in a restaurant in Riverdale, Armani McFarland led the inaugural meeting of the new nonprofit organization "One Can Make A Change."
Co-founder Armani addressed the organization's goal, mission statement, upcoming events "and how they can help" with the newly constituted board of directors, five people ranging in age from their 30s to their 60s.

Bonam's late shot lifts Utah to 56-54 win over Colorado
Lorenzo Bonam's game-winning floater was halfway down before popping up, briefly resting on the rim and finally falling through.
Bonam arched a go-ahead layup over the outstretched arms of big man Josh Scott with 1.1 seconds remaining after making a pivotal steal and Utah rallied to beat Colorado 56-54 on Friday night.
Cougars ride shooters' touch to win over San Francisco
Technically, BYU had a 51-45 lead on San Francisco going into halftime.
But it sure didn't feel that way, even after the Cougars had shot 53 percent from the field, according to senior guard Chase Fischer. The Ripley, West Virginia native felt like BYU trailed after giving up 45 first-half points — and they weren't completely happy.
Fischer scored 25 points, Nick Emery added 21, and Zac Seljaas chipped in 20 points to help BYU to a 102-92 home win over San Francisco for its third-straight win over West Coast Conference opponents.
