LAIE, Hawaii — Lexi Eaton Rydalch scored 28 points and Kalani Purcell added 12 points and 10 rebounds to help the BYU women's basketball team down No. 11 Texas A&M 72-64 on Saturday in the Tom Weston Classic at BYU-Hawaii.
The Cougars (6-3) held the Aggies (7-2) to 47.4 percent shooting — a season low for Texas A&M.
Makenzi Morrison Pulsipher added 16 points for BYU, which also defeated BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii in the annual tournament and was playing its fifth game since Nov. 27.
Purcell, who also had seven assists, recorded her fourth double-double of the season. Rydalch also had three assists and two steals for BYU.
BYU 85, BYU-Hawaii 40 — At BYU-Hawaii, Rydalch poured in 25 points and Pulsipher added 11 points and six assists to lead the Cougars by the Seasiders on Wednesday in the tournament opener.
Purcell supplied 12 points and seven rebounds for BYU, which got four assists and a pair of steals from Rydalch.
BYU 67, Hawaii 56 — At BYU-Hawaii, Rydalch had 19 points and four assists and Pulsipher added 18 points including four 3-pointers to help the Cougars hold off the Rainbow Warriors on Friday.
Purcell supplied 16 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists for BYU.
