Mary Richards reportingResearchers in Utah want to find out if the heart-healthy benefits of wine can be found in plain grape juice.

A few studies have shown red wine may combat heart disease, but can those who don't drink alcohol find similar benefits in grape juice?

Intermountain Healthcare is recruiting Utahns for a study over grape juice. It will test whether the antioxidants in the grapes may also keep heart disease at bay.

Welch's is providing the juice with and without antioxidants. The researchers and participants won't know which one they are drinking. Results should be back next year.

For more information or to participate in the study, call Dr. Benjamin Horne at (801) 408-5442 or (801) 507-4708.
