NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey's Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez says he'll be 'vindicated' in a corruption case against him. Menendez was charged today with accepting nearly $1 million worth of gifts and campaign contributions from a longtime friend in exchange for political favors. The friend is wealthy Florida eye doctor Salomon Melgen, who is also charged.

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — Negotiators have gone into double overtime in Switzerland in an effort to reach a framework for an accord to cap Iran's nuclear capability. The seven nations had reported progress going into the March 31 target date. The State Department says Secretary of State John Kerry will remain at the talks at least until Thursday morning.

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Both Saudi Arabia and Shiite rebels are denying being responsible for a missile strike on a dairy factory in Yemen that killed 35 workers. A Saudi-led coalition of warplanes bombed Shiite rebel positions across Yemen today. The operation is aimed at weakening the rebels known as Houthis (HOO'-theez) and forces allied with them.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Officials at Duke University say they're trying to find out who hung a noose outside a building that houses several offices, including those focused on diversity. The vice president of student affairs calls it "an act of intimidation," ''hateful" and "stupid." Duke administrators and police are investigating.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Johns Hopkins Hospital System Corp., has been hit with a billion-dollar lawsuit over its role in a series of medical experiments in Guatemala in the 1940s and 1950s during which subjects were infected with venereal diseases. The suit is on behalf of 750 plaintiffs. An attorney for Hopkins calls the suit "baseless."
